Dinner Dance London Theatre Breaks 2 days by coach

Dinner and Dance Theatre Breaks

Popular with people choosing theatre breaks to London to see musicals or plays are the packages that also include an evening dinner dance on top of the show, hotel and travel options. So how do these types of weekend breaks work? Well for example, the “London Theatre Dine & Dance 2 days – by Coach” trip has an itinerary as follows:

Day 1 – After an early morning departure from your local area, our coach will travel to central London, arriving around lunchtime/the early afternoon. On arrival, our coach will drop you at our theatre drop-off point which is nearest to your theatre where you will be able to enjoy a matinee performance of your chosen show. After your show, our coach will pick you up from the theatre drop-off point and transfer you to your hotel. Enjoy dinner in the hotel followed by an after dinner disco.

Day 2 – After breakfast, you will have some free time in London, before commencing the homeward journey during the afternoon.

That all sounds very concise but what’s happening in reality is that you are really packing in a lot of activity around a single night hotel stay in London, so you get the very best value for money in terms of fun per pound. The key here is the matinee performance for your chosen theatre show. By going straight to the theatre on arrival in London, that saves a lot of transfer travel within London and frees up the whole evening for the dinner and dance, without anybody having to rush about at all. Matinee performances are top quality with all of the cast fresh for the day, and if it’s a show you’ve seen before then there is also a chance of seeing perhaps a different star in one of the roles for a change.

Saturday Night Dinner Dance after a Matinee

Its usually a Saturday night, since all the shows have a matinee on Saturdays, but some are midweek as well. Your luggage stays safely stowed away onboard the coach while you relax and enjoy the show, then afterwards you go to the hotel and check in, freshen up and get ready for dinner. The dinner dance part means there’s a disco in the hotel in the evening so you can dance away for as long as you like and when you drop, there’s no journey home at all, your room is upstairs. Or it may be downstairs if it’s a rooftop disco I suppose.

After all that you might think it’s just a question of slinking off back to your home town after breakfast the next day but there’s no hurry to get away, in fact there’s time for a bit of a look around central London, almost another day out before rejoining the coach to travel back up the motorway.

So thats how the dine and dance 2 days by coach holidays work, I wouldn’t like to vouch for what kind of music the disco is playing, I suppose they will try to cater for whichever age groups and tastes appear to be present on the night, you know the kind of thing. This is what the package includes:
